Mainstream Vouchers

The Monroe Housing Authority won the annual $265,004 Mainstream Voucher Program Grant. Mainstream program vouchers enable families having a person with disabilities to lease affordable private housing of their choice. Mainstream program vouchers also assist persons with disabilities who often face difficulties in locating suitable and accessible housing on the private market. 

The Monroe Housing Authority is committed to ensuring that people with disabilities have a decent, safe, and affordable place to live. This funding will allow the housing authority and local partners to continue helping residents with disabilities to live independently.
