New Leadership Brings Renewed Vision

On July 1st, Timica Melvin joined Monroe Housing Authority (MHA) as their new Executive Director. Joining the agency from INLIVIAN (Charlotte, NC), Timica brings extensive experience and a renewed vision for the agency.

North Carolina Housers may be familiar with Timica from her time at INLIVIAN (Charlotte, NC). Most recently, she served as the Senior Vice President of Asset Management; however, since joining the agency in 2009, Timica has served in a variety of roles while working her way to Senior VP. Prior to joining INLIVIAN, she served the residents of Durham Housing Authority within their Resident Services Department.

Timica earned her B.A. in Political Science from the University of North Carolina and her Master of Public Administration from North Carolina Central University. Additionally, she holds numerous Nan McKay certifications, is a licensed Real Estate Broker, and is an IREM certified property manager candidate.

In addition to serving her Residents, Timica enjoys spending time with her family. Timica is married to Vince Melvin and has three sons: Vince Jr. (14), Aron (12), and Ares (9).
