Carolyn Canady Promoted

MONROE, NC --- (Carolyn Canady) was recently promoted to Operations Manager at Monroe Housing. In this role, Canady will supervise the operations of the HCV and PBV programs.

Originally from San Antonio Texas, Canady relocated back to the Monroe area in November 2023.

With 24 years of experience, program certifications through Nan McKay and other housing professional organizations, Canady brings Section 8 and Tax Credit expertise to the agency. Canady also previously served as the HCV Program Manager and PBV Specialist for Monroe Housing Authority. In this role, Canady conducted property inspections including vacant apartments, managed the move-in and move-out process, assisted with lease up, processed recertifications and other administrative duties. Prior to joining Monroe Housing, Canady served as the Property Manager for Millennia Property Management. In this role, Canady provided leadership and team development, hired, trained and guided the team in a collaborative management atmosphere.

Canady has received additional training in HQS inspections and Inspire inspections through Nan McKay and Associates.

Canady is a member of NAHRO and SERSA housing professional organizations.

Canady has one child and two grandsons. During her free time Canady enjoys traveling.
